Hypnosis explained

Hypnosis has been used for hundreds of years to help people make positive changes in their lives.

While in hypnosis the client is fully aware and in control but also in a very focused and relaxed state.

It is a bit like being in a daydream and something most people experience every day. For example, when completely absorbed in a book or film to the exclusive of everything else around you, or forgetting part or most of a familiar journey while driving. These are all types of hypnosis.

In hypnotherapy the therapist induces this level of relaxation so the subconscious mind can be accessed in order to change unwanted behaviour and negative thought patterns.

Through a series of techniques, including suggestion therapy and regression, I will work to discover the cause of your problem and root it out.

Many issues can be helped by hypnotherapy including combating fears, phobias, anxiety and panic attacks. It is also used to help smokers quit their habit or others control their weight as well as being a motivational tool for people in sport or business.
